The Royal Australian Navy Clearance Divers Association (RANCDA) had its genesis in 1972 and formed from the Clearance Diving Team 3 – Vietnam Veterans Association in 1985 in order to “To create a brotherhood of former and serving Clearance Divers and contribute to improving their and their families lives by providing camaraderie, advocacy, and mateship.”
